From the first day of December, Christmas decor has started to appear all over the place. Many of our homes also has begun to be more festive. But have you ever thought of the rolls of ribbons and paper wrappings that tend to pile up because of presents? Have you ever pondered on the debate of artificial or real Christmas trees?

Instead of thinking of the pros and cons of either artificial or genuine trees, why not consider different ways of representing it? Here are some types of Christmas trees:

  • Potted Living Tree: – You can plant the Christmas tree into your garden after the holiday season.
  • Recycled Cardboard Tree: – Do you have leftover cardboard lying around? You can recycle these pieces into a decorative Christmas tree.
  • Driftwood Tree: – Christmas decor can be made with old paperback books for the book lover in your home.

Christmas Decor Wreaths and Tree Ornamentsย 

Are you planning to hang a wreath in the front of your porch door? Look around where you are located and see what kinds of natural materials and recycled items can you find. You can utilize the same materials to make yourย 

  • Pinecones
  • Herbs: – lavender, bay leaves, rosemary
  • Old christmas cards
  • Cranberries

Christmas Garlands

Christmas garlands can be used to decorate your Christmas tree and even your mantle too! Time to grab a roll of string and string some popcorn, cranberries, and dried orange slices. You can also hang the christmas cards that you have received through traditional postal mail.

  1. These ideas are very good. I love potted Christmas trees and I thought about one this year, but I don’t have a garden yet! (London life and lack of outside space!) Maybe one day though! X

  2. Love this!! Iโ€™m always looking for ways to help mama earth! I made a recycled Christmas tree last year using cardboard and I have also made a lot of my ornaments this year. I got an artificial tree this year because it hurt my heart to get a real tree and then throw it in the trash.

  4. I like your ideas. I never thought about a driftwood tree but I have seen the potted trees. Iโ€™m an artificial tree person and we make our own ornaments at home for a more personal touch.
